This is Reed's 2nd grade program. It was about popular music through the decades. Reed's class danced to the 90's. It was a really cute program. I only wish I could have gotten better video. The end part was really great when he was up in the front doing some cool moves on the floor, but some guy's big head got in the way and I missed it.

Thinking Positive Thoughts
Many of you already know but some may not know that Danny was laid off from his job about 2 weeks ago. This came as a huge surprise as they did not give us any notice. We have been really stressed out trying to figure out what to do. After Danny received a blessing from his dad, fasted, and spent a day at the Temple he has decided to start his own bookkeeping business from home. It is something we have talked about doing for a long time but with his full time job he never felt like he had the time to do it. Even though we know we are in for some rough times and we are afraid of not having insurance to deliver this baby, we are trying to think positively about all this and are hoping it all works out. We appreciate everyones concern and prayers in our behalf and if any of you know of someone in need of bookkeeping and tax services please let us know. Thanks.

Happy Birthday Reed!
Reed is our one and only boy(for now that is) and what a joy he is to us. He turned 8 today and had a really fun Spy party with his friends. He is also really excited to get baptized in just a few weeks. We love to tease him about being the only boy but it doesn't seem to bother him. He is a great brother and when he is not tormenting the girls he can actually be quite protective of them.
One of my favorite stories about Reed happened when he was only about 2 years old. We were out running errands all day and I had to go to one last store. It was the Home Depot and for some reason my kids hate that store and even the little ones recognize the orange sign and immediately whine about wanting to go home. Anyway on this day he was really getting tired of shopping and I told him we only had to get one thing and that it was going to be super fast. I told him we needed weed killer. He got really quiet and then started to to cry. Please don't kill me mommy. I guess Reed and Weed sound the same to a 2 year old.
As you can see from the pictures, Reed is a bit of a ham. We usually can't get a decent picture even though he is the most photogenic kid. When we happen to catch a calm shot of him they are always really awesome pics but he usually just gives us silly faces and that is what I love about these pics. They really capture everything Reed is about. I guess Fun and Silly would sum it up.
Reed is really into basketball right now and went to a Jazz game with his dad and grandpa last night. He also wants to be a drummer. His favorite thing to do is listen to his mp3 player and tap out the beat. Reed's best subject in school is math and his teacher says he is far ahead of the other kids when it comes to math. Well what else can I say? He is just an overall fun kid and our family wouldn't be the same without him. We Love you Reed!

Dropping off the face of the earth
In the last month we have had lots of visitors and traveling of our own and then after avoiding all winter bugs we were finally bitten. I just spent the last 5 days with the flu and most of it was spent completely down in bed. It had to have been the worst flu I have ever gotten. I think Heavenly Father may have made one mistake in this whole creation and that is that after women give birth they should be made completely immune to all diseases. Mommies getting sick should not ever be allowed. I guess the only good thing that comes out of it is that it gives others a chance to serve. Danny really took over everything this week. All the picking up and dropping off, baths, homework, cooking, I mean everything. Plus my running budding Kim brought us dinner one night and that helped too. Thank goodness for those tender mercies as Kim likes to call them.
Well I hope I can get back into life quickly and easily. I think we have become officially inactive at church after missing for 6 weeks and the kids have missed a lot of school too. I am hoping by tomorrow I will be feeling more like my self and get us all back on track.

Good Times
This was our girls night on last Saturday Night, while Danny and Reed were off playing video games with Jason and Casey. We put on our PJ's and stayed up late to watch "Escape to Witch Mountain". We drank lots of soda and ate lots of yummy popcorn.
The lovely make up fun was my idea. The girls did my make up can't you tell.
put up the bad picture of me. So

My Six Pack
Well I have set a new goal and that is to get a 6pack by the end of September and I don't mean washboard abs. I am going to have the kind of six pack that takes 9 months to make and I truly will not be showing it off in a bikini and for those of you who need me to spell it out...
