Keep Moving Forward

In case you are wondering. I am still running, but it has been extremely difficult to do. With the two weeks I spent away from home and then Danny has been gone for two weeks as well, it has been really hard to get out and run. I just can't seem to make it out consistently. But I will say that I worked my self up to running 6 miles straight about a week ago. We were supposed to try and do 7 this week but I might need another week to get to that. Today I ran 4 but it was the only run I did all week so I didn't want to push it. Anyway, I am still determined to keep trying and am very proud of what I have accomplished so far. I am also very grateful for Kim for continuing to run with me even though I slow her down. She is amazing and doing much better than me because she still gets out even when I can't, and still slows down for me when I join her. Thanks Kim!

Patting myself on the back

Just another update on the running. Since we met our goal of 3 miles by the end of Sept. we are adding a mile every week until the big day. Monday we ran 4 without stopping. Look at us go we are on our way. Now if only I could get my diet under control, maybe I will start loosing some weight too. Hey, a girl can dream can't she?

I think I can, I think I can

Well I lost a walking partner this week but I found a new one. The only thing is she is a runner training for a half marathon in St. George at the first of the year. I usually hate to run, but today we walk/ran 3 miles and it actually felt good. She has inspired me and I am joining her. I think this will be good for me. Of course I want to lose weight and so the exercise is what I need to accomplish that goal, but even more than that I think it is a good goal to work towards so that I can have that feeling of accomplishment that I crave and so often don't feel or recognize as a mother. Plus I want to set an example for the kids of what it is like to set a goal and not give up. I am really excited about this but sometimes that excitement can fizzle and knowing me at some point it probably will. So that is why I am posting this for everyone to see. I need to be held accountable and I need some cheerleaders. So please cheer me on and help keep me motivated. So, Kim if you read this now you'll know that I am committed. YAY ME!
