Sweet Treat

Do you ever have those days when you feel like you did all the right things? For me they don't happen all that often but on this particular day I felt that way. Most of you probably know that I have struggled with depression for a long time but over the past year I have found a way to move passed it. For so long I haven't really felt like myself. All the things I love just seemed so meaningless before but I have found my way back. This day I found myself feeling truly happy doing the simplest of activities with my girls. The interesting thing about it is that this small act changed my entire day. It just went smoothly all day and this one good day has turned into many good days. I have prayed for joy and happiness to come to me for a very long time and the Lord has answered that prayer in the most interesting ways. I finally feel a peace and calm that I have not felt in a long time.

Pay it Forward

Found this on a blog I was stalking and thought it sounded fun, so I took a chance and joined in! She was so nice to let a total stranger play along.

So this is how it works..... The first 3 people to leave a comment on this will receive a hand made gift from me during this year. When and what will be a surprise. There's a small catch...You knew there would be didn't you? Post this on your blog then come back and leave a comment, telling me you're in. Fun, huh? Remember, only the first 3 comments receive the gift. Let's see who looks at my blog!

Love Bandits

Friday night before Valentine's we took the kids out to "Heart Attack" their cousin Jasen. My mom used to do this with my sister Jill and I. We would stay up all night pasting hearts onto Popsicle sticks and then go stick them into some lucky person's lawn. I thought it would be fun to do this with the kids this year.
They really got into with their disguises and thought it was pretty funny when a cop car kept driving by while were doing it. They were pros at this. Super quiet and we didn't get caught.

The only problem was that they can't keep a secret. As soon as Jasen came over for a visit they spilled the beans. Oh Well!
I think we will try and make this a new Family Tradition. We had a blast!

More Tanner

Tanner is such a good baby and he brings so much love and happiness into our home. I can't believe he is 5 months already. I still feel like he is so brand new and I just had him. I want life to slow down a little so I can enjoy him. This time is going by way to fast for me. He is growing so much. He's a chubby little thing. I think all that chub is making it hard for him to learn to roll or sit up but he is getting close. He doesn't like rice cereal as you can see in the picture above but loves baths. The kids were planning out Tanner's life for him the other day and thought he should become an astronaut but decided against it because "his big head won't fit inside the helmet".

Speaking of

not finishing projects. Jill and Tami did you do yours yet? Not me. I want to see pics when you are finished so get crackin' . Also speaking of perfect blogs etc. I was just looking at some of the cute blogs and Paige asked who they were. I told her "nobody I know I just think they are fun". She replied, "Why don't you just go out and have fun instead." Oh, the wisdom of our youth. Anyway, I just found a new project for me to start and not finish or screw up horribly and then hate it but hey the fun is in the trying right? I'm going to make one of these.
No, not the baby but the cute little pettiskirt. I know its crazy but I can't justify spending $50 to buy one. So I will drive myself crazy trying to figure out a cheap way to make one myself. Wish me luck.
